The Problem: Finding Short-Term Housing Shouldn’t Be This Hard
Medical professionals on short-term assignments need temporary housing that is affordable, comfortable, and safe. However, The Room MD’s existing web platform lacked key features that would allow users to:
Communicate with landlords directly through the platform.
Leave property reviews after their stay.
Express interest in a listing before booking.
Track past rental properties for future reference.
These missing functionalities limited user engagement and made it harder for medical professionals to decide where to stay. We aimed to enhance the platform by making it more interactive, seamless, and user-friendly.

Airbnb’s logged-in vs. logged-out experience showed us how to structure the dashboard for seamless user navigation.
